Open letter to Indian parents

Dear parents,

Hope this letter will find you in good health.Through this letter,we need to convey our special feelings which we are unable to convey to you people as this might sound cold.

Party animals, brand conscious, gadgets lovers, yes we are known by these names today! We love junk foods, but trust us we are health conscious too(though many of us are less).Stop treating us as machine(home-school-coaching-swimming class-dance class-home).Let us explore ourselves.Let us free to take decisions.we learn something from everything.Expect less,we will give you better results. We need your support and love.Teach us through unconventional methods as we love experiments! Stop comparing us with friends and siblings as every individual is unique with some special qualities. Everyone has their own thinking. One cannot change one’s thinking( not even parents, friends).Criticise us individually and appreciate us publicly!

So, trust us.. We can face every challenges without any fear.Even if we make mistakes, accept us. Appreciate us even when we are not excelling in every field,as we try our level best in everything we do.Let us choose our career,as we know what we are passionate about. Be GPS but don’t be spy camera. Be friendly with us,we will share our problems with you.

Promote us to meet new people from society ( not on social media).Motivate us for physical activities and in developing hobbies instead of upgrading our super smart phones on our birthdays(though we can’t imagine our lives without these and yes,we don’t know how to control social media  prangs!). These all will make us a better human being tomorrow.

P.S.-We love you! We never do things to upset or hurt you.Your ways of caring though annoys us sometimes! No, we are not here to teach you parenting tips.Pardon us if we are harsh.

Lovingly,

Worried teenagers

Also, if possible, I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my blog. I did my first blog post a few days ago and just put one up today as well. Leave a comment and tell me what you think! πŸ™‚
